Job Description
Position: Lifeguard
Department: Pool
Primary Responsibilities: (guestinteraction, ordering responsibilities, clean up duties, clericalresponsibilities, etc.)
•Ensure guests' safety and protect lives
•Enforce rules and regulations
•Recognize and respond effectively whensituations arise
•Administer first aid and CPR when necessary
Secondary Responsibilities: •Check,record and regulate chlorine/ph and water temperature
•Clean drains aroundpool
•Clean and fill baby pool
•Check safety equipment to assure it isreadily available at all times
•Skim pool as necessary
•Fill outreports when necessary
Normal Working Hours: (Shift,days)
•Flexible shifts including someevenings
•9am-3pm, 9am-5pm, 10am-6pm, 6pm-11pm

in addition to the 5 StarMobil Service Standards
Past Work Experience Requirements: (Type ofwork, number of years required, equivalent experience, etc.)
•Lifeguarding experience preferred
•Customer service experience preferred
Educational Requirements: (Degree/Certification, highestrequired/preferred, field of study)
•High School Diploma orG.E.D.
•Some college preferred
Communication Skills Requirements: (Verbal: phone,in-person, group; Written: memos, documents)
•Excellent grammar andverbal skills
•Must be able to be assertive
Technical Requirements: •Current Red Cross Lifeguarding Certificate or equivalent
•CPR/First Aid Certificate
Required Supervision: (Reports to, Supervision provided,number of people to supervise)
•Supervision provided. Reports to PoolManager
•Must possess the maturity to respond to situations as theyarrive
Other Requirements: •Must be friendly, outgoing, selfassured and have a positive attitude
