WE ARE HIRING! Join our team and become our new part-time LIFEGUARD . Reporting to the Aquatics Coordinator, the Lifeguard is responsible for preventing aquatic accidents through courteous, firm, and consistent enforcement of all pool rules, keeping members and guests safe in and around the water.
Some info about the position...
- Provide continuous, attentive supervision of the pool and surrounding areas to prevent injury.
- Guard the pool, maintaining proper zone coverage and consistent scanning at all times.
- Perform rescues and act as part of the emergency response team when needed.
- Initiate and follow the facility's Emergency Action Plan during aquatic emergencies.
- Administer first aid and complete required incident paperwork.
- Enforce all pool rules and safety guidelines in a courteous, firm, and consistent manner.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the pool, pool deck, and locker rooms.
- Complete daily opening and closing tasks and checklists.
- Greet patrons and provide professional, positive customer service.
- Be at least 16 years of age.
- Bring prior lifeguarding experience and knowledge of water safety practices (preferred, not required).
- Attend all in-service training sessions and comply with facility guidelines.
- Be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- $15.91 to $20.69 per hour, depending on qualifications.
- Up to 19 hours per week.
- Paid leave.
