Description

The YMCA Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all members and guests using the aquatic facilities. Lifeguards create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment by maintaining constant surveillance, enforcing pool rules, responding to emergencies, and providing exceptional member service aligned with the YMCA’s mission and core values.

Responsibilities:

  Monitor swimmers and ensure their safety at all times

  Enforce pool rules and regulations

  n

• n

  Respond to emergencies and provide first aid when necessary

  n

• n

  Maintain a clean and safe pool environment

  n
n
• n

  Communicate effectively with members and staff

  n
n
• n

  Attend regular training sessions and stay up-to-date on lifeguarding techniques and procedures

  n
n

Pay:

$18.00 per hour

Shifts:

Varying hours Monday-Saturday

  Ability to remain calm and focused in emergency situations
