Lifeguard Position

The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District has openings for Lifeguards. The successful candidate will need to:

1. Strong work ethic and the ability to work well with co-workers;
2. Ability to perform well without direct supervision;
3. Ability to swim well;
4. Excellent knowledge of first aid, lifesaving, and rescue work as applied to accidents in the water;
5. Able to enforce compliance with pool rules and regulations and ensure the safety and welfare of all within the pool area;
6. Ability to work well with children and adults;
7. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills;
8. Demonstrate excellent observation skills and mental alertness.
