About the Role:

Stepping Stones Personal Care Services in Carson, CA is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Life Skills Mentor to join our team. Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one mentoring and coaching to individuals in developing essential daily living skills

Assist the individual with personal care tasks, household management, and community integration

Develop and implement individualized support plans tailored to each client's goals

Monitor and document the individuals' progress, behaviors, and milestones accurately

Teach budgeting, meal planning, communication, and other practical life skills

Accompany clients to appointments, community activities, and social engagements

Collaborate with care teams, families, and supervisors to ensure consistent, quality support

Requirements:

Prior experience in direct care, social services, or a related human services field preferred

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient, empathetic approach

Ability to work independently and adapt to the unique needs of each client

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred

CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)

High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in social work or related field a plus

Commitment to maintaining client dignity, confidentiality, and professional boundaries
