We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our skilled nursing facility team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administering medications and monitoring patient reactions
- Assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and feeding
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
- Collaborating with RNs and other healthcare team members to implement care plans
- Conducting routine physical examinations and health assessments
- Educating patients and families about health conditions and care plans
- Ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations and protocols
- Fresh or newly licensed LVNs are welcome
- Previous experience as a LVN is preferred
- Experience in long-term care/senior care/assisted living is a plus
- Valid and active Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of California.
- Must have an active BLS through the American Heart Association
- Must have an active CPR Certification
- Is in good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards is required
- Interest in working with the geriatric population
- Completion of an accredited vocational nursing program.
- Knowledge of the nursing process and standards of care for skilled nursing facilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic health records
