Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

Job Description

The Aptus Group is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for a temporary school-based assignment at one of our partner schools in Pacoima, CA. The LVN will step in as the school nurse, providing health support to students, administering medications, responding to first aid needs, and helping maintain a safe and supportive school environment.

Location: Pacoima, CA 91331

Pay Rate: $32.00 - $37.00 per hour

Schedule: Part Time (school operating hours)

Qualifications:

• Required: Valid LVN license granted by the Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technician
• Previous experience working with children or in a school setting preferred
• Strong oral and written communication, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• CPR certification preferred
• Bilingual skills preferred

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing support to students throughout the school day
• Monitor students with ongoing medical needs and follow established care plans
• Respond to student health concerns and provide first aid as needed
• Monitor student health and communicate concerns to appropriate school staff
• Maintain accurate and confidential health documentation
• Follow school health and safety procedures
• Collaborate with school staff to support student health and well-being
• Perform other nursing duties as assigned
