Licensed Vocational Nurse
Vivo HealthStaff is looking for Licensed Vocational Nurses in Fremont, CA who are passionate about caring for frail seniors.
POSITION SUMMARY: Under the administrative supervision of the Program/Center Manager, the clinical direction of a Center RN, and the clinical supervision of the associate nurse manager, the Licensed Vocational Nurse provides direct nursing services to participants.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides skilled nursing care to all participants including but not limited to administration and monitoring medications, checking vital signs and monitoring participant's changes.
- Supervises, trains, and monitors geriatric aides. Teaches participants and family members regarding participant needs at home.
- Communicates effectively with all team members, participants, and families. Participates in interdisciplinary team planning and problem-solving.
- Other related duties as assigned.
SCHEDULE:
- Can work either AM Shift 7:00-3:30 or PM Shift 12:00-8:30 (Monday-Friday and 1-2 weekends a month)
- If you are to work a weekend day, it would be swapped out for another day during the week. Schedules are provided at least 2-3 weeks in advance so you have time to plan, swap a shift with another staff if needed, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS (knowledge, skills & abilities):
- Graduate of an accredited LVN program.
- Possess a current California LVN license.
- Interest, demonstrated ability, and one-year experience working with the elderly or frail population required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary team.
