Position Type: 1099 Independent Contractor (Caseload Building: Minimum 15, 25+ Preferred)

Location: 100% Remote / Telehealth (Per commercial insurance contracting and reimbursement rules, clinicians must permanently reside and physically render services within Vermont or a contiguous county).
About Rachel Kling, Psychotherapist LLC
We are a specialized outpatient telehealth group practice dedicating high-volume intake blocks to individuals throughout Vermont with court-mandated mental health, substance use, or co-occurring counseling requirements. To address systemic bottlenecks in community supervision pipelines, we have engineered a practice model that optimizes client placement velocity while entirely removing the administrative burden from our treating clinicians. We are launching a major state-wide cohort expansion on November 1st.
Caseload Structure & Intent
This position is specifically designed for clinicians who are actively looking to establish and maintain a substantial clinical caseload. Due to the high volume of our direct state-wide referral pipeline, we are explicitly seeking professionals committed to robust practice growth:
- Minimum Caseload Requirement: We are unable to partner with clinicians seeking fewer than 15 clients.
- Full Caseload Preference: Candidates looking to manage 25+ active clients per week are highly preferred.
The primary barrier to private practice transitions is the lag in building a sustainable income. Our practice maintains a steady stream of referrals due to our established referral infrastructure with the Vermont Department of Corrections, regional districts, and current negotiations with a regional MAT clinic.
What We Offer
- Premium Fee-for-Service Pay: $75.00 flat rate per completed clinical session.
- Sustainable Client Intake Pace: Intakes are strategically staggered across your first 3 weeks to prevent burnout while rapidly scaling to your full capacity.
- Direct Technical Administrative Support: Our dedicated Intake and Billing Coordinator handles all secure e-fax intakes, insurance eligibility verification via the Vermont Medicaid Portal, and clearinghouse data entries.
- Fully Funded Infrastructure: We completely cover your EHR (TherapyNotes group account integration) and telehealth software overhead.
- Fast-Track Credentialing: We invest $430 per clinician upfront to manage your group Medicaid provider enrollment through our specialized credentialing partner.
- Please note there is 30-45 day lag while your NPI links to our group before you can start seeing clients.
Core Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based, remote outpatient counseling to a dedicated caseload of court-mandated clients and clients with co-occurring disorders.
- Maintain timely, objective clinical documentation within our HIPAA-compliant EHR.
- Support our automated reporting loop by confirming basic attendance and compliance metrics, which our administrative team routes directly back to referring regional case managers.
Position Requirements
- Active, unrestricted clinical licensure in the State of Vermont (LCMHC, LICSW, LADC, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist-Master).
- An active, fully updated CAQH profile (critical to facilitate our fast-tracked provider enrollment).
- Clinical competence or strong interest in working with court-mandated populations, substance use disorders, or co-occurring presentations.
- Reliable, secure high-speed internet access and a private, HIPAA-compliant space to conduct remote sessions.
To Apply
Please submit your curriculum vitae and a brief overview of your clinical availability (confirming target caseload size) to Rachel Kling, MA, Licensed Psychologist-Master, Owner & Director, at rachel@rachelkling.com. Applications are being reviewed immediately for our November cohort launch.
