Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor
Duties
Functions or scopes of assigned duties include:
- Performing a comprehensive intake assessment and substance use disorder evaluation that satisfy Joint Commission standards and providing clinically meaningful information related to the specific cognitive-social learning treatment approach used in the Behavioral Health Clinic.
- Providing individual, group, and family psychotherapy, as well as crisis intervention. When providing treatment, incumbent relies on their own clinical judgment to address patient problems in a fashion that is consistent with the knowledge and skills of other professional staff with Master's level training.
- The case management responsibilities of the Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor do not differ from other Behavioral Health Clinic staff (i.e., Psychologist, Social Worker, or Nurse). If a patient is engaged in therapy with the counselor, then LPMHC may be designated as the Mental Health Treatment Coordinator (MHTC).
Work Schedule: 8:00am - 4:30pm. Monday - Friday. (Subject to change based on the need of the facility).
