Licensed Practical Nurse

Licensed Practical Nurse position for a 36-week travel assignment in Spanaway, WA. The role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to students in a school setting, collaborating with staff and parents, and maintaining compliance with health regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to students, including medication administration and vital sign monitoring.
• Collaborate with school staff, healthcare providers, and parents to develop individualized health plans.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all patient interactions, treatments, and observations.
• Execute health screenings and support emergency response procedures during school hours.
• Ensure adherence to state and federal health regulations and school policies to promote a safe environment.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program.
• Valid Washington LPN license.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• At least 1 year of practical nursing experience in a school or healthcare setting.
• Ability to work a 7:00 am–2:30 pm shift.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with professionalism.

Preferred Skills:

• Naloxone administration certification (preferred).
• Experience working with pediatric or adolescent populations (preferred).
• Previous experience in a school-based health environment (advantageous).
