Licensed Practical Nurse
Licensed Practical Nurse needed for a 36-week contract in a school-based setting. The role provides direct patient care to students while supporting school schedules and maintaining high standards of health and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care and support to students in a school-based setting
- Administer medications and treatments per established protocols
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records and documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and healthcare staff to address student health needs
- Assist with school-day activities, including standing, walking, and transporting students as needed
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN) program (certificate or diploma required)
- Active Washington LPN license
- Successful completion of fingerprinting/background clearance
- Minimum 1 year of LPN experience
- Comfortable providing 1:1 student support in a school-based setting
- Ability to work a school-day schedule, up to 40 hours/week (32–40 hours per week based on school schedule)
- Willingness to ride the school bus with the student when required
- Strong communication, patience, and student-first, team-oriented approach
- Ability to stand, walk, and assist with typical school-day duties as needed
