Job Details
LPN's are assistants to physicians and registered nurses and take care of basic nursing duties. Duties often included taking vital signs, collecting samples, administering medication, ensuring patient comfort, and reporting the status of their patients to the nurses. The overall function of a licensed practical nurse is to ensure patient comfort and safety. LPN/LVN's generally work at any location an RN works such as: hospital, nursing homes, long term care facilities or clinic.
Education/Requirements:
- High School education is required along with completion of a formal training program.
- Must pass the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX)
