LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSES - HOLLIS

The Jamaica Hospital MediSys Family Care Cente r in Hollis, New York offers patients the following medical services: Family Medicine, Gynecology, Pediatrics, Prenatal Care (Obstetrics) and Podiatry
We are currently seeking Licensed Practical Nurses with prior outpatient experience preferred, for immediate full-time day shift opportunities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Selected candidates will administer care to patients of all ages, gender, and ailments.
DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Documenting nursing observations, interventions, and patient's responses to treatment
- Performing vital signs, administering medications, performing electrocardiograms, and assisting with scheduling appointments when needed.
- Collecting specimens and performing phlebotomy for lab tests.
- Collecting and performing Point of Care Testing (POCT).
- Reviewing and maintaining vaccine documentation.
Requirements
- Bilingual Spanish/English a plus.
- Graduate of an accredited school for licensed practical nursing.
- NYS Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Minimum of (1) year of clinical experience, in an ambulatory care setting preferred.
- Experience working with pediatric populations preferred.
- Must be available to work alternate weekends.
