Practical Nurse
As supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Minimum Education: Graduate of a Program in Practical Nursing required
Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Requires flexibility in scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns including week-ends and holidays to insure continuity of care and appropriateness of nursing coverage to the patients of Sovah Health Danville.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association required
Licenses: Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse from the Virginia Board of Nursing or compact State required
