A healthcare network in Central New York is seeking a new Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a Per Diem opportunity with their Medical-Surgical team at their Madison County facility.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day
- Schedule: Per diem (Sept 15 to 17 and Oct 27 to 29 and Nov 3 to 5)
- Hours: 8am to 4pm
- Setting: Inpatient hospital
- Provide direct nursing care to med/surg patients in accordance with established care plans and protocols
- Take vital signs, monitor pain, and document patient condition and progress
- Carry out prescribed medical and nursing treatments and support medication administration
- Educate patients and families on medications, disease prevention, and health promotion
- Collaborate with RNs, providers, and patient care technicians while helping maintain and stock the unit
- Current NYS LPN license
- BLS certification
- Previous hospital experience
- Experience with EMR systems
- Experience with bar code medication administration
- Wound Care experience
- Experience working in a POD nursing structure
