The Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct patient care and clinical support in an outpatient office setting. The LPN works closely with providers and other members of the care team to ensure patients receive safe, timely, and compassionate care.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist with the development and coordination of patient care plans.
- Obtain, document, and monitor vital signs.
- Administer and dispense medications as directed and within the scope of practice.
- Maintain accurate medication inventory and storage records.
- Provide patient education regarding medications, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
- Perform dressing changes, wound care, and other approved clinical procedures.
- Accurately document patient care and clinical activities in the electronic health record.
- Support providers during patient visits and assist with follow-up needs.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, OSHA, and all applicable clinical standards.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and support the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Perform other clinical duties as assigned and within the LPN's scope of practice.
