In this hands-on role, you will work closely with individuals, families and healthcare teams to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care in a home or community-based setting. Join us in making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and their families.ResponsibilitiesDeliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to children with technologically dependent medical needsCare for individuals in home and community settingsMonitor and document changes in patient symptoms, behavior, and overall conditionCollaborate with the individual's care team including physicians, caregivers, and family membersAccompany clients to medical appointments, emergency visits, and community outings as neededOffer emotional support, education, and guidance to patients and their familiesParticipate in training, skill evaluations, and ongoing professional developmentRequired QualificationsCurrent and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification in the state of MarylandMinimum 1 year of pediatric nursing experience, preferably with technologically dependent populationsCompletion of a Skill Competency Review, which determines your level of practice and case assignmentsProficient in use of medical devices and monitoring tools including pulse oximeters, oxygen concentrators, and IV administration equipmentFamiliarity with medical documentation systems and digital tools for charting and communicationStrong ability to build rapport with clients, families, and medical professionalsSolid critical thinking, clinical judgment, and problem-solving skillsAbility to communicate fluently in English (speaking, reading, and writing)Must be able to adapt and perform well in a fast-paced and emotionally sensitive environment.Preferred QualificationsExperience using electronic health records (EHRs) or mobile charting appsComfort with home-based or community healthcare environmentsFlexibility in scheduling and openness to work varied shifts or travel with clients as neededOptional Enhancements Based on Your SettingExperience in home care, group home, or residential health environmentsFlexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and emergency coverage
