Licensed Journeyman Electrician

Job Overview
HEI, Inc. is a well-established, locally owned company seeking a dependable, quality-focused licensed Journeyman Electrician to join our Electrical Department. We are looking for an experienced professional who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship, maintaining a safe work environment, and contributing to the success of our team.

The ideal candidate will have strong electrical installation experience, the ability to read and interpret construction drawings, and a proven track record of working effectively on commercial and industrial electrical projects. Candidates with Foreman or Lead Electrician experience are highly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, specifications, and electrical drawings
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with applicable electrical codes and company standards
• Coordinate work activities with project managers, supervisors, subcontractors, and other trades
• Lead and mentor apprentices and less experienced electricians as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
• Complete projects efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship
• Identify and resolve electrical issues in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Current New Mexico Journeyman Electrician License (EE98J) required
• 5+ years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician
• Foreman or Lead Electrician experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installation methods, and industry best practices
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Dependable, hardworking, and self-motivated
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Current and valid driver's license
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to work extended or irregular hours when project needs require
• Knowledge of the Albuquerque area is a plus
