PART-TIME ESTHETICIAN | HANDS-ON SKINCARE

Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa — Destin, Florida

Bring your treatment-room expertise to a spa where thoughtful skincare and lasting client relationships matter. Hand & Stone in Destin is seeking a reliable, experienced esthetician for a part-time, on-site position.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• A current, active Florida facial specialist or full specialist registration, or Florida cosmetologist license authorizing facial services. Students, pending applicants, inactive or expired credentials, and out-of-state-only credentials do not meet this opening’s requirement.
• At least 1 year of paid, hands-on experience performing facial and skincare services in a professional setting. School clinics, unpaid training, front-desk work, and retail-only roles do not count.
• Experience conducting skin consultations, recognizing contraindications, selecting appropriate services, and following sanitation and treatment protocols.
• Comfort making consistent, client-centered home-care, retail, appropriate service-enhancement, and rebooking recommendations.
• Availability to work Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., plus additional shifts agreed upon with management at the time of hire.
• Reliable attendance and a workable commute to our Destin spa.
• Professional liability insurance is required before performing services.

YOUR WORK

• Deliver safe, consistent facial and skincare services within your credential, training, and spa protocols.
• Understand each client’s goals and relevant treatment considerations; modify or defer services when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate treatment documentation and clean, guest-ready treatment spaces, following required cleaning and disinfection procedures between clients.
• Explain appropriate home care and product recommendations clearly, respecting each client’s needs and budget.
• Build repeat visits and client retention through consistent care, follow-through, and thoughtful rebooking.
• Arrive prepared and on time, communicate professionally, and follow established procedures.

COMPENSATION AND SUPPORT

The advertised $30-$45 per hour range represents total earning potential under the spa’s performance-based compensation structure, including applicable service pay, upgrades, retail commissions, gratuities, and bonuses. It is not a guaranteed base hourly rate. Actual earnings vary with services performed, bookings, and results. The pay formula will be explained during the hiring process.
