To support evidence-based clinical decision-making, the full-time Licensed Clinical Pharmacist will evaluate medication prior authorization requests, collaborate with healthcare providers, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while working remotely. Key responsibilities Evaluate pharmacy and medical benefit prior authorization requests for appropriateness and adherence to clinical criteria Assess patient-specific clinical information to ensure medication therapy aligns with current guidelines and best practices Collaborate with prescribers to obtain necessary clinical information and provide educational support regarding formulary alternatives Required qualifications Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or BS in Pharmacy degree from an accredited school of pharmacy Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in good standing 2-5 years of pharmacist experience in managed care, specialty pharmacy, or prior authorization review Experience reviewing pharmacy benefit and/or medical benefit prior authorizations preferred Knowledge of utilization management principles and formulary management processes
