Overview
Remote telehealth position for a Licensed Clinical Counselor. You will report to a Lead Psychologist and provide short-term therapeutic interventions (3 or fewer sessions) to Government Behavioral Health Providers.
Responsibilities
- Gather and review intake data and other pertinent information.
- Conduct clinical interviews and assessments with thorough risk assessments.
- Determine diagnoses based on the latest version of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM).
- Develop treatment plans and document clinical assessments.
- Document all case contacts in SOAP format.
- Provide referrals to appropriate community resources, including outside mental health providers, support groups, and social services agencies.
- Follow guidelines for child and vulnerable adult abuse reporting.
- Conduct follow-ups with clients and referral sources to ensure needs are met.
- Ensure timely documentation of therapy and referral services is completed.
- Close cases within days of the last encounter.
Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling.
- Current, unrestricted license to practice mental health treatment and/or consultation from any U.S. jurisdiction with no pending adverse actions before any licensing board or hospital credentials committee.
- Three years of experience in mental health counseling or assessment.
- Three years of experience providing consultation on behavioral health-related matters, conducting clinical interviews and assessments, determining diagnoses based on DSM criteria, developing treatment plans, or conducting therapeutic interventions.
