Unlimited Chief Only.Duties:Responsible for all operations and maintenance of equipment throughout the entire ship.Responsible for engine room and maintenance.Determines fuel, lube oil, and other consumables required for a voyage.Compiles an inventory for spare parts, oversees fuel, lube, and slop oil transfers, all major maintenance.Prepares the engine room for inspection by local marine/safety authorities (e.g. U.S. Coast Guard).In charge of the engine room during emergency situations.Requirements:High school diploma or equivalentUSCG License as a Chief Engineer of Motor Vessel of an unlimited HPSubmit to and pass alcohol and drug tests including but not limited to pre-employment, random, and post-accident testingAn equivalent combination of education and experience may be substitutedAbility to maneuver areas within the vessel including engine room spaces and crew areasGood verbal and written communication with others continuouslyProcess calculations continuouslyMinimum 18 years of age.Successfully complete drug test.
