Supporting utilization management efforts, the full-time Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician will perform clinical reviews and assessments related to mental health and substance abuse, ensuring the appropriateness of care while working remotely. Key Responsibilities Evaluates treatment for mental health and substance abuse to ensure medical appropriateness before, during, and after services Conducts prior authorization and concurrent reviews for behavioral health inpatient services, determining treatment needs and discharge planning Analyzes member data to enhance quality and appropriate utilization of services while providing education to providers and families regarding the utilization process Required Qualifications Master's degree in a relevant field required Independent licensure as a behavioral health clinician (e.g., LCSW, LMHC, LPC, LMFT, LMHP, or RN) required 2-4 years of experience in mental health settings, particularly outpatient and residential treatment services Experience in utilization management and presenting to leadership or providers Clinical knowledge related to treatment plans for mental health and substance abuse preferred
