Base pay: Limited License: $25 - $27, Full License: $28 - $29, plus shift differential.

About You

n

Provide immediate in-person support to individuals experiencing mental health crises and emotional distress. Assist people/families resources and services, de-escalate crisis situations, and provide appropriate interventions to ensure the safety and well-being of clients. Day In The Life

    Assess crisis situation and person/family’s needs

    n
  • n
  • n

    Provide active crisis intervention that is welcoming, trauma-informed, brief, and solution-focused to adults/children presenting with emergent or urgent need

    n
  • n
  • n

    Provide referrals, arrange for psychiatric evaluations, facilitate authorization for hospitalization if unable to successfully divert, and inter- and intra-agency services

    n
  • n
  • n

    Facilitate transition to appropriate aftercare services and assist with implementation of individual recovery plans and coordination of natural supports

    n
  • n
  • n

    Act as an advocate for the needs and rights of every person/family including with service providers and community agents

    n
  • n
n

What You Need To Apply

n
    n
  • n

    Bachelor's degree in human service field

    n
  • n
  • n

    Professional licensure in the State of Michigan (LLBSW or LBSW)

    n
  • n
  • n

    Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

    n
  • n
  • n

    Minimum of one (1) year experience working with people with mental health, substance use and/or developmental disabilities

    n
  • n
  • n

    Experience working in crisis intervention or emergency mental health services

    n
  • n
  • n

    Experience with broad range of age groups and disabilities, including children

    n
  • n
  • n

    Experience with persons with co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorder

    n
  • n
  • n

    Strong knowledge of mental health disorders, crisis assessment, and intervention techniques

    n
  • n
  • n

    Preferred:

    n
  • n
  • n

    Certification in/or willing to obtain a development plan with MCBAP for the following (within 30 days of hire):

    n
  • n
  • n

    CADC - Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor

    n
  • n
  • n

    Meets criteria as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) defined by the State of Michigan

    n
  • n
  • n

    Meets criteria as a Child Mental Health Professional (CMHP) OR Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) defined by the State of Michigan
