Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Licensed Associate Counselor position located in South Amboy, NJ. The responsibilities include conducting individual and group counseling sessions, maintaining accurate and confidential client records, developing and implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with other professionals to provide comprehensive care. The counselor will also perform client assessments, provide crisis intervention as needed, and ensure adherence to ethical and professional standards.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience in individual and group counseling, treatment planning, and crisis intervention
  • Strong skills in communication, relationship-building, and maintaining client confidentiality
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate records, documentation, and data management
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team and engage with clients professionally and empathetically
  • Current licensure as an Associate Counselor in New Jersey required
  • Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field required
  • Experience working in a mental health or behavioral health setting is highly beneficial
  • Commitment to adhering to ethical and professional guidelines and standards
