As a Solar Electrician you will install, commission, and maintain photovoltaic systems that deliver clean energy for commercial and industrial clients-turning drawings into reliable arrays while helping us fulfill our mission of meaningful careers and stronger communities.
What You'll Do:
- Assist with the installation, wiring, and maintenance of solar electrical systems
- Assist electricians with electrical installations, troubleshooting, and repairs
- Install and terminate electrical wiring, conduit, and components
- Assist with solar panels, inverters, disconnects, and associated electrical equipment
- Read and interpret electrical plans, drawings, and schematics
- Follow NEC requirements and all applicable electrical and safety codes
- Safely operate hand and power tools
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all company safety procedures and job-site requirements
- Work effectively as part of a team while taking direction from experienced electricians
- Must hold a valid electrical apprentice license
- Previous electrical construction experience preferred
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and the NEC
- Ability to read electrical drawings and follow instructions
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions
- Ability to safely lift, carry, climb, bend, kneel, and work from ladders/lifts as required
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Proven ability to read solar one-lines, string diagrams, and structural drawings and to layout conduit and array geometry without supervision.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and U.S. work authorization required.
- Physical capacity to lift 75 lbs, work at heights, and supply standard electrical tools plus OSHA-compliant PPE.
- Willingness to pass a pre-employment drug screen; OSHA 10/30 a plus.
