With state-of-the-art facilities and a commitment to personalized care, NYH is setting a new standard for healthcare in our communities.Join us and become a part of our mission to promote **lifelong wellness through compassionate, evidence-based practices** that empower patients on their healthcare journeys.**Job Description:**# ****Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) (OBGYN Practice)******Location: Bayshore, NY****Hours/Days: 5/8.5 hour days, Mon-Fri 8a-6p Organization: New York Health (NYH)**## ## ****In This Role, You Will:***** **Set up procedural spaces, Sterilize instruments for urologic procedures*** **Assist physician with exams and/or procedures*** **Update and maintain all electronic patient records and assist in transitioning hard copy records to digital format*** **Manage Physician inbox and prioritize tasks assigned via ONCO EMR*** **Work in the front office taking care of tasks such as answering phone calls and greeting patients as they enter the facility*** **Assist in maintaining the medical inventory and placing orders for new materials as needed*** **Record patient information such as vital signs, weight, and changes in medical history before each appointment*** **Clean and prepare examination rooms prior to patient appointments*** **Escort patients to exam rooms*** **Record patient interview, history, and chief complaint*** **Provide patient education concerning medications, management of diseases, home treatments, and special diets*** **Prepare patients for examinations and perform routine screening tests*** **Prepare and administer Injections*** **Phlebotomy and collection of other lab specimens*** **Perform basic lab tests*** **Administer and document medication under a physician’s order and follows the five (5) medication rights and reduce the potential for medical error**## ****We Require:***** **Current NYS LPN license required.*** **Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.*** **Consistent professional conduct and meticulous attention to detail.*** **Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills with patients, staff, and other health care professionals.*** **Experience with EMR’s*** **Reliable transportation to any of NYH location for patient care needs**## ****What We Offer:***** **Salary: Starting at $32.50 per hour, based on location and experience*** **Benefits:Health Insurance on day 1, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short- and Long-term disability, 401k Plan, Paid Time Off (PTO), 8 paid holidays (2 floating)****Join us at NYH, where we are making strides in healthcare through innovative and compassionate care.
