Contextual Overview

Siemens Energy is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join its 'Transformation of Industry' business unit in Beijing. The role involves serving as a primary legal and compliance partner to leadership, advising on strategic, commercial, and regulatory matters within a multinational industrial environment.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Qualification: Must be a qualified lawyer in China.
• Experience: 10+ years of post-qualification experience in a multinational corporation, top-tier law firm, or complex business setting.
• Expertise: Proven track record in commercial contracts, project execution, dispute resolution, and corporate governance.
• Compliance Knowledge: Strong understanding of anti-corruption, antitrust, data privacy, export control, and sanctions.
• Skills: Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills in both Chinese and English.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Advise leadership on strategic, commercial, and operational legal matters.
• Lead the review and negotiation of customer, supplier, and strategic cooperation agreements.
• Identify and mitigate legal and compliance risks across cross-functional teams (Finance, Procurement, HR, etc.).
• Manage disputes, investigations, and interactions with external counsel.
• Promote a culture of integrity through training and knowledge sharing.
