Legal Billing Specialist

Salary: $80,000–$100,000 | Hybrid | Chicago

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-established law firm seeking an experienced Legal Billing Specialist to join its team. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on law firm billing experience who is looking for a collaborative environment, competitive compensation, and a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

• Manage the billing process from pre-bills through final invoice preparation and submission
• Review and edit attorney time entries, expenses, and billing adjustments
• Prepare and submit electronic invoices in accordance with client billing guidelines
• Monitor invoices and assist with resolving billing discrepancies or rejected submissions
• Maintain accurate billing information within the firm's billing system
• Partner with attorneys, accounting, and administrative teams to ensure timely and accurate billing
• Assist with additional billing and administrative projects as needed

Qualifications

• Previous billing experience within a law firm environment required
• Hands-on experience with 3E Billing required
• Experience with electronic billing and client billing guidelines strongly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced professional environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Additional Information:

Personal Time Off (PTO) is offered on an accrual basis up to 184 hours a year, 13 Paid Holidays, and up to 6 weeks of Paid Parental Leave. xhqgsiq PTO and holiday hours are prorated based on hire date within the calendar year.
