Legal Assistant - Medical Malpractice

Medical Malpractice Legal Assistant Or ParalegalHall & Evans is seeking a candidate with Medical Malpractice Legal Assistant or Paralegal experience, preferably 5+ years, to support our Las Vegas office. This position can require billable hours.We offer a hybrid working schedule (3 days/office and 2 days/home) after successfully completing the training period.Requirements:Medical Malpractice Legal Assistant or Paralegal experience, 5+ years, preferred;Assemble and file documents electronically;Prepare motion and discovery shells, motion filing;Expert coordination for depositions and trial;Assist with preparation of trial/mediation/appellate briefs;Interface professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court clerks;Excellent technology skills;Process payment requests and coordinate the client billing process;Maintain client files and contact information;Schedule meetings, conference calls, depositions, court hearings, and travel arrangements;Outlook/LSS calendaring state and federal court deadlines and iManage document management program experience is highly preferred;Well-developed skills in editing, proofreading, and grammar;Ability to anticipate problems, find solutions, and prioritize work accordingly;Well-developed time management and organizational skills;Ability to exercise a high degree of personal integrity, confidentiality, tact, discretion, and judgment;Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel);Knowledge of manipulation and edit of PDF documents using Acrobat Adobe;Ability to work overtime as necessary;Experience in Defense Civil Litigation, preferred, and;Minimum of high school graduation; business school, or related professional legal secretarial degree, preferred.We are a firm that offers:Financial stability;Great benefits, many that are 100% paid by the Firm;A professional work environment, yet has a business casual dress code;A culture that is respectful and collegial;Onsite training to promote a continuous learning environment;Current technology and our own in-house IT professionals!
