Litigation Legal Administrative AssistantA Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant (LAA) is responsible for assisting in day-to-day operations of attorney practices, including carrying out administrative services, providing support to the litigation practice group and ensuring that attorneys are able to provide exceptional service to their clients. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, exceptional problem-solving skills, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic workplace.Hourly Non-ExemptResponsible for and accountable to assigned attorneys and the Office Administrator.Essential Duties:Maintains regular and punctualWrites, proofreads, sends, files, and manages correspondence, memos, pleadings, contracts, forms and other related documents.Receives and routes incomingTranscribesAnswers telephone and routes calls as needed to appropriate members within the organization.Manages appointments and maintains updatedCalendars all relevantManages multiple time-sensitive projects and applies various procedural guidelines of differing jurisdictions.Keeps cases ordered by establishing and organizing files; monitoring calendars; meeting deadlines; documenting actions; inputting information into file database and case management software; confirming case status with attorney.Tracks case costs by verifying outstanding balances with attorney, clients, andOther Responsibilities:Performs other work-related duties asAttends staffAssists other LAAs as needed withUpdates job knowledge by participating in ongoing educational opportunities, including but not limited to reading professionalFurthers organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests as well as exploring opportunities to add value to jobEducation Experience and Skills Required:Minimum 3 years' litigation experienceAdvanced verbal and written skills including strong command of spelling, punctuation, and grammar.Interpersonal skills to maintain strong client and co-workerHighly organized and has acute attention toTypes a minimum of 60Basic knowledge of typical office equipment including multi-line phones, multi-function machines, cost recovery equipment, etc.Intermediate knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Nuance PDF.Minimum of high school diplomaPhysical Requirements:Standing and walking regularly, up to two hours perSitting position, static for up to one-half hour at a time, up to six hours perLifting and carrying up to 20 poundsBending and stooping regularly, up to one hour per
