We are committed to a safe work environment sending every person home safe and healthy every day and leaving a sustainable legacy on our host communities.Responsibilities:Independently perform work which involves visual inspections of the underground mining activities to identify rock hazards, provide recommendations and monitor excavation performanceEnsure adherence to the Ground Control standards and maintain the ground support QA/QC program, such as rockbolt pull-testing and UCS of shotcrete and backfillUtilize rock mechanics properties to design ground support as neededCollect, analyze and report on geotechnical monitoring data and maintain databasesReview and advise on mine and stope designsAssist with ground control safety training programsSupervision of consultants and contractors, as necessaryThe candidate will also periodically assist with geotechnical mapping underground and geotechnical core logging for specific drill programsPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:Minimum requirement: B.S.
