These are non‑tenure‑track appointments that include the possibility of renewal based on factors such as continued need, satisfactory performance, and availability of funding. Positions may be day or evening. In many cases, the minimum degree required is the doctorate or terminal degree; a master’s degree may be appropriate in other instances, depending on the position.
