Western Middle School Paraprofessional
Western Middle School is currently seeking three (3) Class IV Least Restrictive Environment Paraprofessionals for the school year. The starting date is August 24th, 2026. This hourly position currently ranges from $15 to $18.80 per hour depending on education and experience.
Qualifications:
- High School Graduate
- Successful completion of High School Proficiency Tests (all subjects)
- Demonstrate through previous work experience an ability to effectively communicate with adults and children, as well as a high degree of organizational skills, time management and collaboration.
- Be able to work as part of a team
- Be willing to complete 7-9 hours of professional development throughout the school year
- Highly Qualified as per the Michigan Department of Education Guidelines
- Complete at least two years of study at an institution of higher education (equal to 60 semester hour) or
- Obtain an associate's degree (or higher) or
- Meet rigorous standard of quality and demonstrate, through the passage of an approved formal state academic assessment ETS Parapro Assessment - Online
- Passing score of 460 required
