Leasing Specialist / Agent – Affordable Housing | Damascus, MD

Salary: $20.00 - $25.00 / hour | Full Time | Monday–Friday | 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

What You Bring as a Leasing Specialist

You bring warmth, attention to detail, and professionalism to every interaction:

  2+ years of apartment leasing experience preferred.

  n

• n

  1 year experience with affordable housing programs (LIHTC, HUD-Section 8, HOME, RD) required.

• n

  Familiarity with Fair Housing and compliance requirements.

• n

  Proficiency in Yardi or similar property management software.

  n
n
• n

  Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.

  n
n
• n

  Basic math and data-entry abilities for rent collection and recordkeeping.

  n
n
• n

  Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills are a plus.

  n
n
• n

  High school diploma or GED required; COS or TCS certification desired or willingness to obtain.

  Support teamwork – collaborate with maintenance and office staff to maintain high standards for property appearance and safety.

Requirements

Work schedules may include Saturdays, based on property performance needs such as occupancy levels, leasing activity, and rent collections.

When required, weekend coverage will be scheduled on a rotating basis and aligned with business priorities.

Employees are expected to support leasing efforts, resident engagement, and rent collection activities during scheduled weekend hours.

Work schedules are subject to change based on business needs and property performance.
