Growing togetherAs a Senior Experience Designer, you lead the creation of performance-first learning experiences that drive measurable business impact. You apply the EnABLE methodology with a strategic lens, focusing on the Engage to Align, Analyze to Design, and Evaluate phases to ensure solutions are rooted in real work and aligned with business priorities. You consult with complex stakeholders and mentor Experience Designers. Your work spans high-visibility and cross-functional initiatives, requiring advanced consulting, design, and evaluation capabilities to deliver scalable, sustainable solutions that improve performance and support organizational transformation. You leverage the ATD Talent Development Capability Model to guide your practice, applying professional, organizational, and personal capabilities to design solutions that align learning with business strategy.  You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S.

For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.Primary Responsibilities:Lead the design, development, and modernization of learning and performance support solutions using instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, and digital authoring tools to create engaging, scalable experiences that improve performanceLead strategic consultations with stakeholders to uncover business needs, performance expectations, and success measuresUse predictive analytics and historical data to define KPIs and ROI for learning initiativesNavigate complex stakeholder dynamics and influence decision-making through data-driven insights and business acumenAs part of this work, you will also:Assess and interpret customer needs and requirementsIdentify solutions to non-standard requests and problemsSolve moderately complex problems and/or conduct moderately complex analysesWork with minimal guidance; seek guidance on only the most complex tasksTranslate concepts into practiceProvide explanations and information to others on difficult issuesYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:2+ years of experience in learning design or developmentKnowledge of AI tools, LMS platforms, inclusive design practices, and consulting.Demonstrated proficiency with learning authoring and design tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platformsProven application of EnABLE and ATD Capability ModelsPreferred Qualifications:5+ years of experience in learning design, development, or performance consultingExpertise in AI tools, data visualization, and strategic consulting*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter PolicyPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
