Topics include New Hire Orientation, Leadership Development, Guest Service initiatives, and other programs that align with organizational initiatives.
The Learning & Development Specialist will work closely with the Learning and Development Manager and Business Partners to identify the best approach for bridging skill gaps.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesPresent training and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, lecture, workshop and simulationsAdapt training delivery methods to suit diverse learning stylesOccasionally develop engaging and interactive training materials, including e-learning modules instructor-led training, and blended learning solutions.Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirementsCreate and maintain monthly Learning and Development Training CalendarCreates and/or maintains training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials as neededReview training materials and provide feedbackEvaluates program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedbackMaintains knowledge of the latest trends in learning and developmentPerforms other related duties as assignedJob SpecificationsEducation and Experience:High School Diploma or equivalent experience3 years of experience in delivering training in a business environment2 years of experience facilitating Leadership, Coaching, Performance Improvement and similar business-related topicsExperience with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning toolsExperience in designing and developing training programsSkills and Knowledge:Familiarity with adult learning theories and instructional design modelsAbility to utilize strong verbal, written, and presentation skills across a diverse team member populationKnowledge of HR best practices when conducting businessAdept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methodsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program softwareAbility to stand/walk for up to eight hours at a timeMust be able to lift up to 25 pounds at timesAbility to conduct oral presentations in the English languageDetail-orientationAbility to appear for work on timeAbility to complete forms and documentsAbility to understand and follow verbal directives and written directionsAbility to accept constructive feedbackAbility to maintain confidentialityIf you enjoy being part of a community dedicated to creating a memorable guest experience, we invite you to explore career opportunities with Sycuan and join our winning team!
