Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITIONWork cross-functionally to develop process improvement strategiesFacilitate, train and lead Lean Strategy Deployment ActivityLead change management activities (create transition plans from current to future state and execute)Lead / develop Lean Transformation Planning for targeted improvement areas            Identify, develop, and implement opportunities for improvementTrain improvement teams in Lean transformation philosophy, approach, activity and appropriate transformation toolsCreate the right sponsorship to drive improvement activityAssess manufacturing, sourcing, business and SG&A process efficiency and performanceDevelop business cases and establish financial and non-financial Lean project goalsLead Lean projects through discovery, design and implementationManage Lean Coordinators and projects to ensure proper achievement of resultsDevelop and execute capability building plans to achieve strategic goalsEnterprise activitySQDCC focus (safety, quality, delivery, cost, cash)OperationsSourcingBusiness ProcessSG&A Activity / ProcessProvide Lean expertise to teams includingApply continuous improvement methods such as Six Sigma (DMAIC/DFSS), Lean, change execution and Behavior and Consequence managementLean principles of teamwork, methodology, business benefit, innovation and customer focusSubject matter expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Sourcing or support functions (Quality, Technology)Lead Lean transformational change and work on identifying greatest Lean opportunities across nVentCoordinate benchmarking and external analysis (Subject Matter Experts, Workshops, company visits, etc.)Identify and share best practices and external trendsTeach and coach others in scientific problem solving and standardized workEducate, communicate, and excite the organization on LeanDevelop and lead communities of practice that promote Lean best practice sharing across the site and within the division and corporation.Generate interest for LeanDevelop and promote common Lean Methodology and Language across nVentOversee the annual Strategic Deployment process including Lean enterprise value stream mapping & transformation planning.Oversee site Lean team, including performance management, recruiting, talent review and coaching.Communicate and coach site leaders and employees on Lean fundamentals and PIMS implementationDevelop & maintain a Kaizen calendar system to plan and execute events including the follow-up on open items from all KAIZEN events, assuring they are completed or planned into a future eventYOU HAVEBachelor degree required (Operations Management or related field highly preferred).  Master’s degree preferred.5+ years manufacturing operations experience, with at least 2 years focused on Lean and continuous improvement programming/implementationSix-Sigma knowledge or certification preferredLean Champion certification or willingness to obtain certification a plusDemonstrated understanding of Lean Manufacturing conceptsStrong project management and project leadership experienceAbility to build relationships and influence all levels in the organizationKnowledge with demonstrated skills in using and teaching Six Sigma, Lean tools, and Quality system controls.Ability to utilize strong written and verbal communication skills, work in a team and facilitate team development.Demonstrated leadership ability to drive results and influence others to meet strategic objectivesAbility to teach and facilitate groups using data for decision makingAbility to work cross-functionally in the organization.Analytical skills and business financial knowledge a plus.Application of lean principles to non-manufacturing and non-traditional situationsSkilled in full cycle process/project management, planning and change managementAbility to effectively plan, direct and coordinate to changing demands and circumstances activates across cross functional teams and departmentsProvide leadership and influence to others.Developing relationships and networks.Strong interpersonal, communicate on (oral and written), and presentation skillsWE HAVE:A dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every daynVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions.
