This is a hybrid role, with the expectation of being on site at least one day per week.Responsibilities:Grow and mentor software engineers and technical leadersDeliver continuous feedback and performance review of engineers, with input from technical leads and senior leadershipTrack and facilitate progress on projects, adhering to Cisco IT's "Ways of Working" (Agile)Help engineers grow their development skills including leveraging AI capabilities to scaleBe a role model of company culture and valuesMinimum Qualification:Bachelor's degree in STEM with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree in STEM with 6+ years, or PhD in STEM with 3+ years3+ years of Engineering Management experience5+ years of experience in Software Development (any language), with at least 2+ years of experience with Python specifically.
1 year of AI assisted software development is required.3+ years of applicable networking experiencePreferred Qualifications:Strong technical background and good understanding of cloud native technologiesExperience of interacting and working with customers/clientsExperience managing independent, strong, dispersed and diverse teamsStrong networking background and certifications are a big plusHistory of full lifecycle management of applications
