Lead Veterinary ReceptionistAt Jefferson Animal Hospital, we are proud to provide quality veterinary care to the Brookville community and surrounding areas. We are seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable leader to supporting a busy veterinary team and helping create a positive experience for pets and their owners.

This role is a great opportunity for someone with strong customer service skills, veterinary reception experience, and the ability to lead by example.Job Responsibilities:Oversee process of patient admissions and dischargesEnsure that hospital flow is efficient and effectiveCollaborate closely with Lead Veterinary Technician, Hospital Manager, and Medical Director to determine opportunities for operational improvementsTrain all new reception Team MembersMaintain strong understanding of veterinary products and medications, including prescription medications, veterinary diets, over-the-counter medications, and supplementsWork with Marketing Team and Hospital Manager to review and respond to client concernsChecking patients in, discharging patients, invoicingProvide customer service such as greeting customers, answering questions, processing incoming patients, and handling paymentsAnswer phone calls which may include answering questions, scheduling appointments, and recording messages for doctors and staffHandle incoming and outgoing mail and emailUpdate and file patient chartsEnter data into computerize billing programRetrieve prescriptionsAssist with pet supply purchases such as food, supplements, and grooming itemsMaintain the cleanliness of waiting roomRetail salesMust be able to lift 50 pounds, stoop, bend, and stand on feet for long periodsOther duties as assignedSkills / Qualifications:High School Diploma or relevant education and work experienceExceptional verbal and written communication skillsCustomer ServiceOrganizational SkillsTech SavvyTeam orientedWe believe in a Whole Person Approach when it comes to our veterinary teams.
