Managing large complex life applications, the full-time Lead Underwriting Consultant will underwrite and oversee risk selection, develop underwriting processes, and ensure adherence to standards while working remotely. Key responsibilities Analyzes qualitative and quantitative data to provide approval for risk selection, coverage, and pricing Assists in conducting underwriting audits and recommends changes to improve productivity and profitability Maintains profitable mortality experience and collaborates with internal and external partners to ensure high-quality service levels Required qualifications College degree required; equivalent work experience in life underwriting may be considered 7-10 years of underwriting experience FLMI, FALU, and ACS designations or current coursework toward earning certificates Strong knowledge of insurance products, underwriting factors, and insurance contract law Highly developed knowledge of medical science and its impact on mortality
