Lead Therapist Position at Bradford at Warrior
Bradford at Warrior is part of Bradford Health Services, a leader in substance abuse treatment and programs for over 40 years. We are seeking a Lead Therapist to add to our dynamic team who can provide clinical support to our clients at our campus in Warrior, AL. Our campus provides a supportive, empathetic, and structured environment where individuals can safely address the root causes of their addiction and rediscover their true selves.
Responsibilities
- Assist in providing oversight of the day-to-day operations of the facility's clinical services
- Proactively identify ways to improve processes and elevate team excellence facility-wide
- Perform Performance Improvement Activities
- Perform Counselor II and/or Clinical Coordinator's duties, when necessary
- Conduct documented staff meetings and clinical supervision
- Provide training and orientation to new counselors
- Model interdisciplinary teamwork and guide the team in its practice
- Integrate the philosophies and principles of treatment both the program and the process of supervision
- Complete annual performance reviews and competency ratings, which address clinical strengths, opportunities for improvement, and performance goals in a timely manner
- Supervise and Direct Counselor Assistants and PSAs
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Behavioral Sciences
- LCSW or LPC licensure
- Minimum of two years experience in addictions treatment
- Minimum of one year in the field in a supervisor position
- Previous training and/or experience to demonstrate competency with a special population (e.g., Adult or Emerging Adult or Adolescent)
- Demonstrate excellent communication (written and verbal) skills required
- Comfortable working with the public
- If recovering, three years of continuous verifiable sobriety
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with group therapy and family therapy modalities
- Specialized training or certification in anger management or life transitions counseling
- Familiarity with evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
- Experience in a healthcare or community mental health setting
- Bilingual abilities or experience working with culturally diverse populations
