Lead Technicians will work directly with the Production Manager coordinate and execute project direction while demonstrating best practices to the crew.Must be in Norfolk, Virginia, we are not looking to relocate candidates at this time.Responsibilities:Technician responsibilities such as:Can read and understand PCPsAble to understand and execute documentation of work processSet UpOperations and MonitoringBreak DownRepairs and MaintenancePerforms other related duties as requested or assignedOversee technicians, and evaluate areas for improvementDevelop and implement flushing plans, procedures, and schedulesCollaborate with project managers, and production teamsVerify all processes are followedConduct training to technicians as neededParticipates in the service repair and maintenance program.Always use proper PPEQualifications:Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelinesAttentive to detail and alert always to ensure safetyAble to receive, follow and give instructions and communicate with co-workersAbility to safely operate various vehicles and equipmentTechnical expertise in flushing operations, hydraulic systems, and pipingPrevious experience, in ship repair, maintenance, or naval operations (5+ years)Education Requirements:High school diploma or GED, B.A., Technical/Vocational trade school, or apprenticeshipWorking Conditions and Physical Demands:Work is conducted indoors and outdoors frequently exposed to prevailing weather conditions. Work indoor or aboard vessel which may have fumes, chemicals, and heat as well as noise and dust present depending upon the location of work.

Safety equipment required.The individual must be able to frequently climb inclined stairways and vertical. Work aboard the vessels can be strenuous and sometimes hazardous. Dynamic, fast-paced outdoor setting with moderate to loud noise levels from production activity in the shipyard. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
