What the role actually is
Nuro is hiring a lead TPM for the AI Platform organization behind its Level 4 autonomous driving system. The group spans the data flywheel, model training, simulation, evaluation, onboard and offboard systems, cloud services, and fleet tooling.
The role combines TPM team leadership with direct ownership of complex programs that connect autonomy roadmaps to deployment readiness across vehicle platforms and commercial partners.
What you would work on
- Lead and coach TPMs supporting Nuro's AI Platform organization
- Drive high-priority autonomy platform programs from ambiguous goals to execution plans
- Coordinate requirements, interfaces, testing, release gates, and rollout readiness
- Partner with engineering, product, operations, external partners, and vehicle manufacturers
- Surface dependencies, technical blockers, resource constraints, and cross-team tradeoffs
What they are asking for
- Technical program leadership experience with AI, autonomy, robotics, or complex software platforms
- Ability to manage teams while personally driving difficult cross-functional programs
- Strong judgment around technical dependencies, release readiness, testing, and deployment risk
- Comfort operating onsite with engineering, product, operations, and partner teams
Why this one is worth a look
This is a program leadership role at the layer where autonomy research becomes a shippable platform. The interesting part is the breadth: data, training, simulation, evaluation, firmware, cloud services, and fleet operations all have to move together before Nuro can deploy its driver across more vehicle programs.
