Lead Systems Engineer – Honeywell
As a Lead Systems Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and management of complex systems and solutions that drive innovation, safety, and efficiency in the aerospace industry. You will work within cross‑functional teams on cutting‑edge projects that transform the way aircraft operate. Your experience in systems engineering will be instrumental in shaping the future of aerospace technology.
You will report directly to the Director of Engineering, working out of Redmond, WA on a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities
- Lead customer interactions and ensure timely and successful delivery of programs within scope and budget.
- Systems/software requirements development, validation, integration or verification.
- Work across disciplines, collaborating with cross‑functional teams consisting of Systems, Software, Hardware and Test Engineers to understand customer requirements and provide innovative solutions.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
- Strong problem‑solving capabilities and the ability to work in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues under pressure.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in systems engineering.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Electric, Electronics, Computers or Aerospace Engineering.
- Minimum ten years of experience supporting avionics functions such as Navigation and Airborne Surveillance (TCAS, Transponder, ADS‑B, DME, UAT).
- Proficient in systems integration of complex systems, systems test procedures and reviews.
- Ability to manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies effectively.
