On behalf of a leading Building Automation Systems (BAS) Integrator
Our client, a well-established and rapidly growing BAS systems integrator based in Dallas, TX , is seeking an experienced Lead Systems Engineer with strong Distech Controls expertise to play a pivotal role in their continued growth.
This is a senior, hands-on position suited to a driven professional who enjoys technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and helping shape the future of a high-performing controls division.
The Role
As Lead Systems Engineer, you will take ownership of complex BAS projects from design through delivery while acting as a technical authority within the business. You’ll be deeply involved in programming, graphics development , and system optimisation, while also leading and developing a team of engineers and supporting the growth of the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering delivery of BAS projects using Distech Controls
- Develop and commission control logic, programming, and custom graphics
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to systems engineers
- Support project standards, best practices, and quality control
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and internal stakeholders
- Assist leadership with department growth, process improvement, and technical strategy
- Act as a technical escalation point and client-facing expert when required
Key Experience & Skills
- Proven experience as a BAS / Controls Systems Engineer in a leadership capacity
- Strong hands-on experience with Distech Controls (Other control line experience will be considered for the right candidate)
- Expertise in programming, graphics, and commissioning
- Solid understanding of HVAC systems and building automation architecture
- Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, growth-focused mindset
