Lead Surgical Technologist – Main OR

This is a Full‑time Days position. The role requires call and qualifies for competitive call differentials.

A Lead Surgical Technologist in this role will support service lines within the Main Operating Room while serving as a clinical resource and leader for the surgical team. The individual will assist during complex surgical procedures, maintain a sterile field, anticipate surgeon needs, ensure patient safety, and help promote efficient case flow and daily operations within the OR.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

• Assisting physicians during surgical procedures while anticipating the needs of the surgeon throughout the case
• Assembling, organizing, and maintaining sterile fields for operative procedures
• Supporting workflow efficiency, room turnover, and overall coordination within the operating room
• Serving as a resource and mentor to Surgical Technologists and OR team members within the service line
• Ensuring proper handling and disposition of surgical specimens and instrumentation
• Collaborating with the surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety
• Assisting with cleaning, stocking, and preparation of operating rooms and surgical equipment between procedures

Education & Credential Requirements

• Vocational Degree required
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – NBSTSA
• Tech in Surgery‑Certified (TS‑C) – NCCT
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
