Lead / Staff RoR Software Engineer - Healthcare Marketplace

Location: Remote

The company's product is a marketplace for healthcare, primarily for consumers and businesses, available on mobile and web.

In this position, you would be focused on backend engineering with Ruby on Rails, leading a team of 4-5 engineers, spending about 80% of your time coding and 20% on leadership tasks such as mentoring and driving projects.

The company offers a salary up to $220k plus equity.

Qualifications:

1. At least 7 years of backend engineering experience.
2. Expertise in programming with Ruby on Rails.
3. Proven experience delivering high quality production code on schedule.
4. Ability to own a project from concept to completion.

Nice to have:

1. Experience building a marketplace platform (such as Uber, Airbnb, Upwork, etc.)
2. Experience with machine learning.
3. Experience with data-focused applications.
