Lead Spray TechnicianThe Lead Spray Technician is responsible for the safe, effective, and timely application of fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, and other turfgrass products across all golf course playing surfaces and landscaped areas. This role leads spray operations, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports overall turf health and course conditions. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, schedule, and execute all chemical and fertilizer applications for greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and ornamental areasCalibrate, maintain, and operate spray equipment to ensure accurate application ratesMix and apply products in accordance with label directions, safety standards, and environmental regulationsMaintain detailed application records including product usage, rates, weather conditions, and target areasEnsure compliance with all federal, state, and local pesticide regulationsMaintain inventory of all chemicalsTrain and supervise spray technicians or assigned crew membersMaintain chemical storage facilities in a clean, organized, and compliant mannerAssist with other areas of golf course maintenance as neededPromote and follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPEQualificationsValid QAC (Qualified Applicator Certificate)2–5 years of experience in turfgrass management or pesticide application (Prior experience preferred)Strong knowledge of turfgrass species, pest identification, and chemical control methodsAbility to read and interpret pesticide labels and SDS sheetsExperience with spray equipment calibration and maintenanceStrong attention to detail and record-keeping skillsAbility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required in golf course operationsValid driver's licenseAdditional RequirementsAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat typical of desert environmentsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and operate equipment for extended periodsBilingual (English/Spanish) is a plusBenefitsCompetitive PayMedical, Dental, and Vision Benefits401k ContributionPaid Time Off and Paid HolidaysEmployee Meals, Referral Incentives, and Recognition ProgramsProfessional development and upward mobility opportunitiesWork-Family CultureThe Company's good faith estimate of the hourly rate it expects to pay for this role is $25-$30hr and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
